DREAM SHOP NOW OPEN!

Hey Everyone!

We have two big and wonderful news from Curiously Creative!

Firstly, we have finally got our online store up! Wooohooo! Its been a looong journey to get here. The more I worked on it, the more I was unleashing a can of ass whooping worms! Though as much as I hate to admit it, the struggle did push me to get clear on what we needed to do and who we wanted to be as Curiously Creative.

Which brings us to our second big and wonderful news! We have partnered up with the amazing ‘I have a dream’ foundation in NZ and have committed to donate 10% of each online sale to this wonderful organisation! Say what!? Say hell. yess!!

I first heard about them 3 years ago and since then they have been pulling my heart strings. One of those feelings of when you know, you just know, you know? Might have something to do with their mind blowing commitment to tackling child poverty via long term support to empower these kids. I care deeply about supporting the wellbeing of kids so the desire to support them was a no brainer.

Though I would be lying if I said that turning that desire into reality was easy. Oh no. It came with its own can of worms! Which was fighting against that voice in the head that says you don’t have enough to give. That maybe you should wait till you are rich and famous before you do stuff like this. Turns out, it tends to kick your fear hormones in to overdrive! Its just too easy to notice the lack instead of the abundance. As really, if truth be told, I have much to be grateful for. Including the freedom, the safety, the ability, the support and the environment that allows me create and pursue my dreams. But there are too many kiddo’s that have too many odds stacked against them. Having a dream is awesome and having the opportunities, the courage and the support to pursue those dreams is the biggest gift we could receive.

As one of my favourite humans Dr Terarai Trent says: ”A dream has more meaning when it is tied to the betterment of your community”. Being able to help kids fulfil their dreams would be one of the biggest honours and measures of success. This is exactly what the ‘I have a dream’ foundation does. They help kids facing material hardship achieve academic and life success by providing support and caring mentorship from primary school all the way through to tertiary education and beyond.

Curiously Creative’s purpose has always been to share joy and creative living with everything we do and I am so excited to be able to make us all co-contributors and co-creators in this new chapter. So if you like our products head over HERE or to help kiwi kids receive the most head on HERE!

With lots of love and a massive splash of joy
